Since you took the photo close to December 21st, when the sun is directly over the Tropic Capricorn, your view might be affected since you are close to the Equator, and the Sun in relation to Panama and the moon, would be below the moon. thus makeing it a "saucer" or "bowel" holding something. While those of us that are on this planet, above and below the "tropics" see a more sideways view.

OR another idea, which is much easier to explain.

2. We all know from growing up that the moon is made up of cheese, (I believe it might even be blue cheese, but that's my own idea) Anyway cheese is a solid substance, and it will stand up to the "C" or backward "C" form, with out spilling out. However since you are in the tropics, and the fact that you have Coconuts growing, I think it is entirely possible that the saucer is full of coconut milk that hasn't turned to cheese yet, so the moon has to be a saucer to keep it from spilling out. (There are reports it has happened in the past when the cow didn't quite make it over the moon, and the milk splashed out and created the milky way.)

So that's two ideas, maybe right, or maybe someone else has a different one.

Thanks for the insight of your experiences...On your Gringo Trail.Hugo and Cydhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11658038144902439459noreply@blogger.com
